On 10, April, 2007 an opening of Vladimir Zorin’s art works exhibition took place in the Institute of the Information Society. The exhibition continues series of expositions http://www.iis.ru/content/view/206/91/, opened in January this year by Svetlana Kolesnik, an artist from Moscow region.
Vladimir Zorin was born in 1960, in Moscow. He is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 1991. In 1983 he graduated from the Moscow Architecture Institute. He gives preference to etchings and water-color paintings in his creative work.
The leitmotif of the artist’s works is middle-Russian landscape, or rather old Russian cities’ environment, which now is unfortunately vanishing into thin air. The exhibition represents 5 oil paintings and 24 graphics performed in the technique of black-and-white and color etchings.
Mr. Zorin is a participant of all-Russian and international exhibitions. His paintings were exhibited in USA, Japan, France, Czech Republic, Tanzania. Artist’s works were purchased and are being kept by Serpukhov Historical and Arts Museum, Moscow Ex-Libris Museum, Museum of Sergiev Posad, Collection of Engravings of Russian State Library.
