On 7-9 June 2006 Khanty-Mansiysk held the 5^th interregional conference Information Technologies and Solutions for eRussia and 6^th specialized exhibition Information Technologies in the 21st Century dedicated to the 10^th anniversary of adoption of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area - Yugra informatization concept.

The conference formed the platform for exchange of opinions and experience in drafting and implementing projects on ICT introduction in social economic sphere among its participants - representatives of regional administrations, business communities, and research and educational institutions.

Today Yugra obtains the third position in e-Readiness rating following Moscow and St. Petersburg. The region is implementing 40 events under eRussia program. Systematic e-Development in Yugra started when the informatization concept was approved by the region governor’s order in 1996.

These events were held in association with the Federal Agency on Information Technologies, SIRIUS Association of System Integration and Information and Administration System Development under the auspices of the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications of the RF and Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the RF.

The conference and exhibition aimed at discussing issues related to development of single information space in Russia, as well as using ICT in the activity of federal, regional authorities and local authorities, demonstrating pioneer developments in the sphere of information technologies, modern solutions in the sphere of governmental and municipal information systems development.
