The National Center of Excellence in the field of Digital Economy, which has already started its work, was created at Lomonosov Moscow State University. By the order of the Moscow State University’s rector dated September 4, 2017, Tatyana Ershova was appointed the Director of the Center. Previously, she has been the head of the Institute of the Information Society for 19 years.

Academician Igor Sokolov, Director of the Federal Research Center “Informatics and Management” of the Russian Academy of Sciences, became the Scientific Director of the Center.

The main objective of the Center will be to provide scientific and methodological support and general coordination of the processes of digital economy development in Russia, as well as specific personnel training.

The Coordination Council of the Center is being formed, which has already included deans of a number of faculties and heads of several institutes of Moscow State University, representatives of other scientific and scientific-educational organizations, authorities, civil society organizations.
