 According to the result of educational and scientific work in the academic year
2016/2017 the Base Chair of the Institute of the Information Society won the first place and was awarded the Certificate of Honor.
The Base Chair of
the Institute of the Information Society (formerly of the Base Chair of Information
Society Development of the Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and
Informatics (MESI)) was established by the decision of the Academic Council and
has been operating from September 1st, 2009.
The Base Chair performs educational, methodical and research activities in the
following areas of education: “Applied Informatics” (“Engineering of
Enterprises and Information Systems”, “Applied Informatics in Management” and “Corporate
Information Systems” profiles), “Information Systems and Technologies of
Corporate Management”, “Consulting in the field of Informatization of
Enterprises and Organizations” and “Business Informatics” (“Management of IT-Infrastructure
of Enterprise” profile).
Leading experts of
the Institute of the Information Society are lecturers of the Base Chair. They
have elaborated educational materials and curricula for the following
disciplines:

Society and Issues of Applied Informatics;

Theoretical
Foundations of the Information Society Development;
- Information Society Development
Classes are conducted in a way that allows building an educational process
without detachment from real practice, and includes material necessary for
