In
Warsaw on 26-28th October 2016 the meeting of TechSoup Global
Partner Network took place, in which Irina Miroshnichenko, IIS Program Manager,
participated.
In the first day of the meeting welcoming speeches
were delivered to the participants by Rebecca Masisak, Executive Director of
TechSoup and Lynn Van-Housen, Vice-President of TechSoup.
The
purpose of the meeting of TechSoup Global Partner Network was to discuss
further expansion of network, building its capacity and the possibilities of
its future development, as well as the defining of needs of civil society in
Europe and trends related to increase of influence of the latest technologies
and improvement of access to them. The mission of the meeting was providing the
opportunity to share knowledge with each other, learn from each other something
new, so that later it can be applied in practice.
During next two days interactive working sessions, in which program
managers, representatives of donors, technical staff and external partners taking
part in the network’s charitable programs, were carried out.
The second day was devoted to the training sessions/ It was discussed how
to increase the number of NGOs through the use of Google Adwords, how to carry
out the process of checking eligibility and conduct webinars in order to build
your own community. In the afternoon, the training on how to map a network of
partners in Europe and on its basis to distribute e-mail messages (e-mail
messaging), how to make material based on open data and how to provide technical
support of the network, was arranged.
During the last day of the meeting, several parallel sessions were held, where
the strategic directions of development of the network, online donors’ platform,
marketing via electronic newsletters, tools for assessment of ICT competence
and their use in the region were discussed.
In the end new ideas, which
will be used in the following years by TechSoup community and network partners,
were proposed. |
