Sociologist Sofia Zver’kova from Russian
Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (St.
Petersburg) addresses the issues of social support for youth in virtual and
real environment, their relationship and interpenetration.
Under the item “Science and
Innovation in the Information Society” postgraduate student Tatiana
Kuznetsova from Central Scientific Library, Ural Branch of the Russian
Academy of Sciences presents the results of comparative analysis of various
patent search and analysis systems with a description of their functionality
and an information base as a basis for the information support of innovation
activities.
In the article by Yulia Lektorova “Official
Website of Public Authority as a Part of the State Information Policy System”
the attempt to explore the process of the information technologies
implementation in public administration practices and specify the role of an
official website in the modern state information policies system of the Volga
Federal District regions’ parliaments was made. Based on the empirical data
analysis, an information openness index of legislative (representative)
public authorities is calculated and variables of the official website
information accessibility are interpreted.
Two publications are presented
under the item “Information Society and Mass Media”. In the article by Mikhail
Nazarov from the National Research University “Higher School of Economics” the concept
and empirical characteristics of Digital Generation 2000 are discussed. The analysis
is focused on generation-based features of media consumption in
industrialized countries. It is shown that the 2000 generation differs from
the previous generations by its more active behavior in the digital
environment.
In
the article by Oksana Kuchmaeva and Tamara Rostovskaya the concept of
information campaign to promote family values addressed to different target
audiences. Special attention is paid to building pro-family values in the
younger generation and to the support of the family by the state. Objectives,
tasks and principles of information campaign are formulated, its programme
events and techniques are described, the role of the media during the
campaign is emphasized.
The
article by Doctor of medical and pedagogical sciences Valentina Egozina is
presented under the item “Sports and Tourism in the Information Society”, in
which the ways of human adaptation to such environmental factors as
information, new technology, electronic equipment through the physical
training and sports are demonstrated.
In
the article by Oleg Manzhula, Deputy Head of Directorate of Information
Resources and Technologies of Federal State Statistics Service, the key
objectives of All-Russia population census based on the use of new
information and communication technologies with the application of mobile
devices and the Internet, as well as the expert system for selection of
methods for collecting and processing information in the course of All-Russia
population census, taking into account the geographical and socio-economic
features of the regions, are examined.
