IIS leaders met with the delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran |
On 23rd May, 2016 IIS leaders
met with Dr. Saied Reza Ameli, Professor of Communications and American
Studies of the University of Tehran, Chief of the UNESCO Chair on Cyberspace
and Culture: Dual Spacization of the World, and Dr. Hamid Zanganeh, the 3rd
Counselor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow at the
premises of the Institute of the Information Society.
At the meeting IIS was represented by Dr.
Yuri Hohlov, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Head of Directorate for
Management of the Architecture of Large Systems, Dr. Tatiana Ershova, General
Director and Victor Stroganov, Deputy General Director.
In the course of the meeting the following
cooperation issues were discussed:
- Assessing
the information society development level in Russia and Iran and outlining
the possible directions of strategic cooperation based on the best
practices of both countries and taking into account the Strategic Document
of Information Technology Comprehensive System of the Islamic Republic of
Iran and the Strategy of Information Society Development in the Russian
Federation.
- Cooperation
towards the development of the Digital Government concept in Russia and
Iran in the context of the Strategic Document of Information
Technology Comprehensive System of the Islamic Republic of Iran (strategic
area 6 «government») and perspectives of digital government development in
the Russian Federation up to 2020.
- Cooperation
towards the development of the Smart Nation and Smart City concept within
the framework of preparation of the Executive Program and the Document of
Provinces’ Information Technology Development in the Islamic Republic
of Iran and Concept of Regional Informatization for Russian Federation.
- Publication
of articles of Iranian researchers and scholars in the Russian scientific
and analytical journal «Information Society», and publication of articles
of Russian researchers and scholars in some Iranian scientific and
analytical journals.
Following the meeting, it was agreed to
prepare and sign Memorandum of Understanding. |
