On
April 19th, 2016 Social
Technology Greenhouse supported by Microsoft company held the event “Networked April - Day of the Greenhouse Open Knowledge”. In
the course of the event workshops on actual technology topics for non-profit
organizations, online activists and social entrepreneurs were arranged.
In
the Day of Open Knowledge for NGOs representatives of the “infoDonor” program
providing technological support to NGOs Louisa Rizmanova and Irina
Miroshnichenko made presentation summarizing the results of the programs
operation for seven years, as well as demonstrated its advantages and benefits
for non-commercial sector.
Workshops
and lectures within the session “Effective and Sustainable NGO” were devoted to
the trends: mobile and web applications development; existing and future civil
applications; crowdfunding of the social projects.
Within
the Workshops organized in course of the session “Microsoft’s Technologies for
the third sector” highlighted the following topics: software donations to NGOs
via “infoDonor” program; Prower BI software for data analysis; presentation of
new Office 365 features.
During
the session “Technologies with the purpose” the following issues were discussed
by the participants: creation of popular online courses for NGOs; fundamentals
of digital security; use of public data; planning of civil web applications;
basics of human-centered design etc.
