The
article “Formation and development of territorial information system of the
Tomsk Region” by Mikhail Sonkin, Natalia Maslova, Sergey Baidalee, Sergey Semykin and Aleksey Pleshkov opens the
item ‘’Social and Economic Aspects of the Information Society’’. The article states
that successful experience in the field of formation and development of the
regional information systems gained in Tomsk can be replicated in other regions
of the Russian Federation.
In the
article of Klim Legchakov indicators for monitoring of ERP implementation and use
in Russia are examined, including their organizational, technical and financial
components. Aleksey Ilyin from Omsk analyzes pseudo information essence of
advertising and branding in his article.
In the
item "Information Society and Power" Anna Voloshinskaya from the
Institute of Applied Economic Research of the Russian Presidential Academy of
analyses
resources existing in Russia in terms of their impact on governmental decision-making.
The conclusion is formulated that democratization is really happening, but the
scope of citizens’ influence on authorities’ decision-making is extremely
limited.

Diana Burimskaya from the National Research University Higher School of
Economics considering advantages of compound learning: a possibility to start
