Strategy for Information Society Development in Russia
Representative of the Institute of the Information Society took part in the work of the Forum of active citizens “Community”, which took place in Nizhniy Novgorod

Forum of active citizens “Community”, which took place in Nizhniy Novgorod  on March 26-27,  is the first out of nine forums, was attended by more than 600 representatives of non-commercial organizations and business-communities, journalists and public authorities, volunteers and active citizens.

«Community» Forums are being held by the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation from March to November 2015 in nine federal districts of RF for the purpose of exposure of level of development of non-commercial sector in the regions, discussion of current problems and possible solutions.

Representatives of NCOs and business-community discussed current problems of development of non-commercial sector in the regions, possible solutions, and voiced support to the most efficient practices of civic engagements.

Irina Miroshnichenko, Manager of the “infoDonor” program of technological support to NCOs, participated in the discussion on “Social role of business”, where she described opportunities of receiving software as a donation.

«Community» Forums will become one of the platforms for preparations to the Annual Report of the Public Chamber of RF on “Condition of Civil Society in the Russian Federation”. Each participant of the Forum will be able to put forward proposals to the report, which is traditionally submitted to the President of RF.

The next Forum will take place in Novosibirsk on 14-15 April 2015.
