Igor
Bukreev made a significant contribution to the development of informatization in
the period of its origin and formation in the Soviet Union, as well as
contributed to the further building of the information society in Russia. During
the period of skeptical attitude toward cybernetics in our country Igor Bukreev
was one of the founders of the country's first Institute of Cybernetics of the
Academy of Sciences of the USSR. He stood at the origins of establishment of
our electronic industry center – the city of Zelenograd.
Igor Bukreev’s extraordinary talent and his devotion to
domestic science played a fundamental role in the formation and further
activities of the Section on Informatics and Radio Electronics of RAE.
He
was the organizer and first director of the Scientific Research Institute of Micro Devices of the Ministry of Electronic Industry of
USSR, Head of Department of the Microelectronics of the Ministry of Electronic
Industry of USSR, Head of the Electronics Industry Sector of the Central
Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Deputy Minister of Electronic
Industry of the USSR. He generously shared his experience and knowledge with
the younger generation – many years he headed the Department of Design and Technology
of Electronic Equipment at the Moscow Aviation Institute named after Sergey Ordzhonikidze.
His book, "Integrated Circuits of Digital Devices" has become a
classic textbook in the specialty and has been translated into French.
In July 2009, the Board of Directors of the Institute
of the Information Societyawarded Prof. Bukreev with a diploma for a great
contribution to the development of the information society in Russia.
Staff

of an outstanding scientist and a wonderful person Igor Bukreev. We express our
