Strategy for Information Society Development in Russia
IIS representatives participated in the Round Table “Paths of the Information Society Development”, which took place at the Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics (MESI)

Evtushkin with the participants of the discussionOn May 28, 2014 within the framework of the 2nd Academic and Research Conference “Values and Interests of Contemporary Society”, which took place at the Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics (MESI), a Round Table “Paths of Information Society Development” was held. The event was organized by the base Chair of Information Society Development of the MESI, which operates under the auspices of the Institute of the Information Society (IIS) together with the MESI Institute of Computer Technologies.

The event was opened with a speech by Tatiana Ershova, IIS Director General and Editor-in-chief of the “Information Society” journal, on “WSIS+10: Key Shaping Trends in the Sphere of ICT Use for Development”.

Tatiana Ershova and Aleksander EvtushkinMESI students Anastasia Semenova and Andrey Bogdanov prepared a report on “Trends of Information Society Development in Russia”.

Alexander Evtyushkin, Head of IIS Directorate of Perspective Projects, made a presentation on “Production on Demand: New Reduction and its Possible Consequences in the context of Information Society Development”.

Lidia Shchelina, postgraduate of the Chair of Sociology of MGIMO (U) MFA Russia, made a report on “Social Communications under the conditions of Information Society”. Ksenia Evgrafova from Rybinsk State Aviation Technical University n.a. P. Solovyov highlighted the topic “Social Advertising in the context of Corporate Social Responsibility”. Jena Petersen made a report on “How not to kill with information”. The event was concluded by an interactive discussion.
