Strategy for Information Society Development in Russia
The second issue of the "Information Society" journal for 2014 was published

The topic of this issue "The Information Society: old and new phenomena" is elaborated in six new publications.

The rubric "Information Society: Policy and Drivers" is opened in this issue by an article by Anna Karpova, Candidate of Sociological Sciences; Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy; Associate Professor of the Department of Sociology, Psychology and Law of the Tomsk National Research Polytechnic University. The article sets the task of defining imperatives of the information policy and outlining issues of their implementation.

The article by Doctor of Engineering Aleksandr Raykov, Doctor of Economics Evgeniy  Loginov and Chief Expert Specialist of the State Policy Department for Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Dionisiy Efremov demonstrates that it is necessary to create a backbone integrated educational, research and production network to ensure continuous growth of competence of personnel of state and local authorities, enterprises and organizations.

The rubric "The Human in the Information Society" is opened in this issue by an article by Lyudmila Baeva «Axiological Portrait of Gamers». The article sets the task of studying gaming as socio-cultural phenomenon, identifying its attributes, specific features of gamers’ world perception, building gamers’ classification.

The rubric "Information Society and Law " is represented by an article by Azaliya Akhmadullina, Graduate Student of the Department of the Civil and Business Law of the Faculty of Law of Kazan Federal University. The article analyses the issue of digital divide in the regulated market in relation with misuse of insider information, i.e., key market data that are not disclosed to general public.

Further Doctor of Sociological Sciences Tamara Rostovskaya and Candidate of Culturology Nataliya Rostovskaya provide recommendations for shaping young-adult environment that would assist in strengthening the family as social institute based on Russian cultural traditions as well as moral and spiritual values. The last article of the issue is devoted to measuring efficiency of information society development. The authors of the article are Candidate of Economic Sciences Elena Klochkova and Candidate of Economic Sciences Olga Ledneva.
