Strategy for Information Society Development in Russia
The third in 2012 Issue of the "Information Society" journal was published

The issue is opened by an exclusive interview with an outstanding public figure of the contemporary information society – Dr. Khamadun Ture, General Secretary of the International Telecommunication Union.

In the article by Milanese professor Alfredo Ronki perspectives of transformation of the current administrative system into absolutely transparent and based on latest technologies implementation and concepts are examined.  He pays special attention to such aspects as cultural models and influence of the social sphere, which are not always taken into consideration during creation of e-governments, thus leading to failures.

Problems of influence in social networks are examined in the paper by Irada Alekperova from the National Academy of Science of Azerbaijan. In her opinion in the nearest years social network models will become an independent branch of researches. Philosophers from the Far East Federal University, doctor of science professor Sergey Yachin and PhD candidate Marianna Smirnova discourse on evolving of expert networks into epistemic in the information society.

And in the paper by doctor of science Mikhail Karmanov and candidate of science Pavel Smelov from MESI a theme of cooperation between public authorities and citizens in the processes of internet-census is illustrated – a completely new for our journal, and, as we hope, too interesting to our readers topic.

We are also happy to introduce to our audience, even though in a form of a short summary, materials of the latest research on ICT-competencies’ influence on social and economic development of Russia, wich was conducted by the Institute of the Information Society with support from Microsoft.
