On March
29, 2012 Moscow Microsoft office hosted the Day of Non-Commercial Organizations
which has already become traditional, organized by Microsoft in partnership with
the Agency of Social Information.
Day of NCO for non-commercial sector was opened with podium-discussion “The role
of information technologies in development of non-commercial sector”. Elena Temicheva from the “Agency of Social Information”
acted as moderator of the discussion. Elena
Topoleva, “Agency of Social Information”, Inessa Grikurova, Microsoft,
Alexander Lavrenov, World Wildlife Fund (WWF Russia), Irina Ganzha, project “Citizen 2.0”, Alexander Gordienko, charitable fund “Krylya”,
took part in the discussion. In the course of the discussion participants
examined ICT use in the work of non-commercial organizations.
Head of Microsoft strategic programs
in Russia Inessa Grikurova emphasized the growing interest of non-commercial organizations
to ICT use. Many participants of the discussion noticed that information
technologies help NCOs to greatly decrease expenses and save time of employees,
automate routine processes and concentrate on performing the mission of the
organization, more effectively interact with partners and branches of NCOs in
the regions, as well as to share practical experience of software products use.
Inessa Grikurova also reported
on “Microsoft Strategy of Corporate Responsibility” and emphasized that the main
trends of Microsoft work in Russia are: development of IT-industry, supporting of
startups, cooperation with Russian educational system, non-commercial sector, development
of human potential, and participation in Skolkovo project.
Ekaterina Fedotova, PH
International, made a presentation on “Review of the implementation of project
“Your course: Increasing Computer Literacy” in 2011. Plans for
2012". She reported that in
2011 new educational centers were opened in Kurgan, Udmurtia, Arkhangelsk. All
in all in 2011 the project «Your course: Increasing Computer Literacy» was
launched in 62 regions, 83 cities of Russia. In 2012 it is planned to improve educational
programs, train teachers, conduct initiatives, contests, participate in
different regional exhibitions, based on which it is possible to successfully
inform people about the project.
A distinctive feature of this event
was a press-conference with charitable fund “Gift of Life”, which was attended by
Microsoft President Nikolay Pryanishnikov and Director of the Fund Ekaterina Chistyakova.
With the help of the tool Microsoft Link
a video conversation between games arcade at the Federal Research-Clinical
Center of Children Hematology, Oncology and Immunology n.a. Dima Rogachev and participants of the event
was organized. Nikolay Pryanishnikov presented Ekaterina Chistyakova a grant in
the amount of 400 000 US dollars. During the video conference ill children
were playing in the game zones provided to FRCC by Microsoft.
Yulia Sarviro, social projects
manager of the Microsoft company, reported on "Your course: education
within the framework of "E-government" trend. While noticing the growing
role of e-government and provision of e-services the State forgets that
citizens must be taught to properly work on portals of public services. This mission is taken upon by the "Your course"
portal, which provides for training for everyone who wants to use public
services.
Then master-classes were held: «Future of Information Technologies» (conducted
by Aleksey Fedorov, Microsoft), «Microsoft Software Licensing» (conducted by
Inessa Grikurova and Daria Kolchina, Microsoft), as well as «Windows Phone 7
and creation of mobile applications» (conducted by Stas Pavlov, Microsoft, and
Aleksey Sidorenko, Greenhouse of Social Technologies).
Master-class on technological support of non-commercial organizations was
conducted by representatives of the Institute of the Information Society.
Tatiana Ershova, IIS Director General, reported on the “infoDonor” program, which
officially started in Russia on March 19, 2009, and within which technological
support to non-commercial organization is being provided by means of software
donations from donor-partners. Since the
beginning 603 organizations were registered, 375 of which were recognized as
competent, placed and received 208 orders from non-commercial organizations. Program manager Irina Miroshnichenko reported
on conditions of participation in the «infoDonor» program and work of the
web-platform. In the course of the discussion representatives of NCOs asked
questions and expressed wishes.
The Day of NCO was also attended by IIS specialists Louiza Rizmanova, Olga
Kopyeva and Marina Smyslova. |
