Within the framework of the seminar «Contemporary tifloinformation technologies» the «infoDonor» program coordinated by IIS was presented |
 On 13-17 March Nizhniy Novgorod hosted an
educational seminar "Contemporary tifloinformation technologies". Participants of
the seminar were representatives of non-commercial organizations providing support
and educating visually impaired and blind ICT users from 18 regions of Russia
and 2 neighboring countries. Sessions were conducted by leading Russian experts
in computer tiflotechnologies. Training at this level for computer tiflotechnologies
specialists is being held in Russia for the first time.
 On March 15, 2012 within the framework of the seminar employees
of the Institute of the Information Society presented the program of
technological support to non-governmental non-commercial organizations "infoDonor".
IIS is a local operator of the program
since 2009 and interacts with global operator TechSoup Global.
In the course of the presentation of the program made by Louiza Rizmanova,
Director of the IIS Department of International Cooperation and Public
Relations, participants of the seminar
were shown how the program operates in Russia and in the world, with conditions
and procedure of participation, criterion of eligibility set by
companies-donors. Irina Miroshnichenko,
