Information Day "Information Communication Technologies" of the EU’s 7^th Framework Programme took part on November 16, 2011 in the conference hall of the Dorodnicyn Computing Centre of RAS (Moscow, 40, Vavilov str.).

The meeting organized by the European Commission and National Contact Point on ICT, was devoted to the work program on ICT of the European Union’s 7^th Framework Programme for 2011-2012, and to 8^th, 9^th ICT competitions of 7^th Framework Programme as well as to rules of participation of Russian academic and research organizations in international ICT projects of 7^th Framework Programme.

Since January 01, 2007 the 7th Framework Programme of ICT Development of the European Union was launched (7^th Framework Programme) calculated the period of 2007-2013 with general budget more than 50 billion euro. Its strategic goal — creation of uniform scientific space of Europe (European Research Area, ERA), which will lead to competitiveness increase  of the European industry by supporting innovative activities, technological development, strengthening links between academic researches and economical activities.

On the Information Day has been presented the detailed information about  ICT working program, rules of participation, and details and peculiarities of preparation and supplying applications to the competition.

Within the Information Day reports of representatives of the European Commission, Ministry of Education and Science of RF and employees of Russian academic and research organizations has been heard.
