Strategy for Information Society Development in Russia
"infoDonor" program participated in "Day of Non-Commercial Organizations" in Krasnodar

The program of the Conference was opened by Inessa Grikurova, Head of Strategic Programs of Microsoft in Russia, who spoke about company’s activities directed to assistance in information society development, about new Microsoft’s abilities and partnership with non-commercial organizations, including a resource portal for NCOs as an instrument of technological and information support.

Welcoming speech to participants was delivered by Yulia Tomilko, Representative of the Council on Civil Society Development and Human Rights under the Governor of Kuban.

The work of the section "Proposals for NCO" was opened by Alexander Strakh, Microsoft Company Representative, who reported in his speech on existing program of legal assistance to NCOs delivered by Microsoft.  The spokesman examined cases when legal assistance was delivered by Company’s lawyers to NCOs during unexpected audits concerning lawfulness of equipment in Saratov, Ufa, Togliatti, and Rostov-on-Don.

Ekaterina Fedotova, Director of the project "Your Course: Increasing Computer Literacy" (PH International), presented an overview of the first year project implementation in order to assist  vulnerable people in studying ICT use for free, finding their adequate place on the labor market and saving  their life attitude.

Alexandra Kapustina, Manager of "infoDonor" program, in her speech reported on implementation of the software donations to NCOs program in Russia and at global scale, on procedure of obtaining Microsoft products by non-commercial organizations under "infoDonor" program, and on perspectives of its development.

Svetlana Miroshnichenko and Adam Giniush from Techsoup company, which provides technological support to non-commercial sector all over the world, conducted questionnaire survey between participants of the Conference aimed at examination of products and programs used by Russian NCOs in the course of their work.

Moreover, Microsoft in Russia leading specialists reported to the representatives of Russian NCOs on new abilities and advantages of software developed by the Company.   During "New Microsoft Products" section advantages of operation system Windows 7 for non-commercial organizations, as well as new abilities of Office 2010 were presented.

In course of "Joint Work" section Microsoft cloud services, free services of Windows Live and creation of distant learning courses based on Microsoft Learning Content Development System   were examined.
