An unusual exhibition named "Father and Daughter" was opened on July 22, 2011 at the exhibition center of Podolsk.  Hereditary artist, and also IIS accountant, Svetlana Kolesnik organized an exhibition of pictures by her father and tutor Maxim Efimkin, and her own works.  

Exhibition visitors could observe the genesis of succession in artistic tradition, how two artists-relatives are united by attentive judgment of the world, love for Russian nature.  The exhibition presents more than 100 works by Svetlana Kolesnik in such genres as portrait, landscape and still-life for 1978 and 2011.  Each landscape is an inspired soft song about beauty of the outside world and author’s love for Russia.

Efimkin Maxim (1912-1985)
Was born on March 12, 1912 in Oryal Region . One of founders of Podolsk artistic workshops. Member of USSR Union of Artists since 1951.

Svetlana Kolesnik was born in Podolsk.
In 1975 she graduated from school of arts of Podolsk. Between 1976 and 1981 studied at Artistic and Graphic Faculty of MSPU n.a. V. Lenin. Since 1995 she is a member of Union of Artists of Russia.

Artist’s works are kept in private collections in Russia, Austria and USA.
