On June 8-9, 2011 Moscow hosted the III International Education Forum "Smart e-Learning Russia 2011" Russia organized by MESI, International Consortium "e-University", организаторами которого выступили МЭСИ, Международный консорциум "Электронный университет", EAOU, MESI College and  International Academy of Business and New Technologies with support of the Russian Association Business-Education (RABE).

The Forum was attended by representatives of huge European associations in the sphere of e-learning, leaders of the educational sector, teachers, ICT specialists, e-resources developers, and students – everyone, who is interested in ICT use in contemporary education.   

The main goal of the event – is thorough revelation of the idea and possibilities of Smart E-Learning for all levels of educational process from school to life-long-learning (LLL).

At the opening plenary session lead experts from Europe, Asia, North America, CIS and Russia reported about new trends of Smart e-Learning, Smart education, new developments in the sphere of e-learning, modern educational technologies and their use.

The program was followed by conference "Practical Aspects of Knowledge Management in Russia", several parallel workshops related to different issues of e-learning – "e-Pedagogics: development of content", "University 2.0", "Social media in teaching" and debates on "What should the education be like in smart-society?", attended by representatives of the Institute of the Information Society – Yuri Hohlov, Chairman of the board of directors, and Tatiana Ershova, Director General.

Within the framework of the Forum Yuri Hohlov, Chairman of the IIS board of directors, was awarded a diploma for innovations in electronic education development in Russia. Also the awarding of winners of competitions "The best system of teachers’ motivation for work with ICT while teaching students" and "The best use of social networks in teaching" took place.

The III International Education Forum confirmed that future belongs to e-learning technologies, and implementation of e-education projects is well-timed, especially under the conditions of information society development.
