Online training course "E-Government Interoperability" was developed under supervision of Haiyan Qian, Director of the Division for Public Administration and Development Management (DPADM), in cooperation with the UN Development Program, e-Primers for the Information Economy, Society and Polity.
The author of the course is Counselor of the UNDP project on E-Government Interoperability Emmanuel C. Lallana. Besides Barbara Ubaldi, Mary C. Ong, Deniz Susar, Wai Min Kwok, Elvira Doyle, Adriana Ribeiro and Silvia Schwarz took part in the development.
Translation of the course into Russian language was performed by the Institute of the Information Society under supervision of the IIS Chairman of the Board of Directors, Yuri Hohlov.
This online training course illustrates the meaning of interoperability for e-government and describes steps necessary for achievement of effective interoperability. It offers answers to fundamental questions: who must be involved in projects for interoperability of e-government, why governmental environment of electronic interaction (EEI) is required, how these environments are created and revised, what are the key factors of successful creation and functioning of EEI.
