On April 13, 2011 Moscow hosted the Conference "Government in the XXI century", organized by Microsoft, Institute of the Information Society, Russian venture company and Expert network "Gosbuk".
About 250 participants – leading Russian and foreign experts, representatives of the state authorities, IT-industry, science and non-commercial sector gathered to discuss issues related to building of the information society and e-government development in Russia.
The Conference was opened by Yuri Hohlov, Chairman of the Institute of the Information Society Board of Directors, Deputy Head of Expert and Advisory Group of the Council on the Information Society Development in Russia under the President of the Russian Federation.
During the event three sections were organized: "e-Government", "Government and Society 2.0" and "Government and Innovation".
Tatiana Ershova, General Director of the Institute of the Information Society, Head of Section of the Expert and Advisory Group of the Council on Information Society Development in Russia under the President of the Russian Federation, in course of the section "Government and Society 2.0" reported on electronic public services as an incentive of ICT use by population.
Yuri Hohlov, Chairman of the IIS Board of Directors, acted as moderator of panel discussion "Information Society Development in Russian Regions" finalizing the work of this section.
Lyudmila Odinokova, Olga Kopyeva and Vladimir Kondratyev, specialists of the Institute of the Information Society, also participated in the Conference.
