The "infoDonor" program coordinated by IIS was presented within the framework of the Microsoft Conference "Day of NCO" in Saint-Petersburg

On April 7, 2011 Saint-Petersburg hosted the "Day of Non-Commercial Organizations" Conference organized by the Russian Branch of Microsoft Corporation.

Managers and IT-specialists of Russian non-governmental and non-commercial organizations (NGO/NCO) participated in the event.

A number of initiatives supporting the non-commercial sector in Russia, including technological support program for non-commercial sector “infoDonor” coordinated by IIS, portal of Microsoft resources for NCOs and "Your Course" project aimed at increasing people’s computer literacy of the Russian population were broadly presented at the Conference. Within the framework of thematic section "Experience of work of the technological support program for NCO "infoDonor" Louisa Rizmanova, Head of Department of International Cooperation and Public Relations of the Institute of the Information Society, reported on the implementation of the program in Russia and at global level, about procedure of obtaining Microsoft products by non-commercial organizations within "infoDonor" program, and about perspectives of its development.
