Working meetings of IIS top managers and representatives of the RoM government in the context of the Fouth republican research conference "Science and Innovations in Republic of Mordovia"

The conference was opened by Vladimir D. Volkov, prime-minister of Mordovia. The participants were presented the following key reports:

• Viktor A. Nechaev, deputy prime-minister of Mordovia - Prospects of Research and Innovation Activity in Republic of Mordovia;
• Nikolai P. Makarkin, rector of Ogarev's Mordovian State University - Science in Higher Educational Institutions and Economy of Republic of Mordovia: Interaction and Dimensions of Further Development;
• Alexander V. Yevtiushkin, head of Directorate for Innovative and Investment Projects, IIS; Yuri E. Hohlov, chairman of the Board, IIS - Prospects for Knowledge Economy Development and e-Development of Republic of Mordovia (MS PowerPoint, 212 Kb, in Russian).

In the meantime representatives from the Government of Republic of Mordovia conducted negotiations with PRIOR coordinating organization - IIS. They discussed drafting and implementing the program and strategy of knowledge economy development in Republic of Mordovia. Among the negotiators there were:

• Viktor A. Nechaev - deputy prime-minister of Mordovia;
• Mikhail I. Korotin - head of Republican Center for Informatization of Public Authorities in Republic of Mordovia;
• Petr P. Kuznetsov - head of Department of Science and New Technologies, Government of Republic of Mordovia;
• Alexander V. Yevtiushkin - head of Directorate for Innovative and Investment Projects, IIS;
• Tatiana V. Ershova - General Director and head of PRIOR Directorate, IIS;
• Yuri E. Hohlov - chairman of the Board, IIS; Chairman of PRIOR Expert Council and member of PRIOR Supervisory Board;
• Sergei B. Shaposhnik - head of Directorate of the Information Society Development Monitoring; deputy head of PRIOR Directorate, IIS.

The negotiators discussed prospects for cooperation in the sphere of electronic and scientific development of Republic of Mordovia.
