Strategy for Information Society Development in Russia
Chairman of the IIS Board of Directors took part in the Meeting of the Expert Council on Architecture of E-Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On December 13-14, 2010 the Fourth Meeting of the Expert Council on Architecture of E-Government under the Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place in Astana.

The Meeting was attended by Yuri Hohlov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Institute of the Information Society, who is a member of this Expert Council.  

The main goal of the Meeting was to exchange knowledge and best practices related to e-government. In the course of the event the members of the Expert Council reviewed the plan of implementation of target architecture of e-government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.  Besides the results of work on e-government development in the Republic of Kazakhstan for the current period were summed up and plans for 2011 were announced.

In their reports the participants of the meeting told about standards and methods used for development of e-government in their countries, shared experience on ICT use for public management. Yuri Hohlov’s report was devoted to use of architectural approach in public authorities of the Russian Federation.

Based on the results of the meeting the members of the Expert Council worked up recommendations for further development of the architecture of e-government of the Republiñ of Kazakhstan using modern approaches and standards from the world practice.
