Yuri Hohlov, Chairman of the IIS Board of Directors, Academician of the Russian Engineering Academy, participated in the work of the II Meeting of Engineers of Russia and All-Russia Research and Technology Conference on Innovative Technologies, which took place in Moscow on 25-26 November, 2010.  

The Supreme Engineering Council and the Russian Engineering Academy acted as organizers.  

The Organizing Committee of the Meeting was headed by Sergey Mironov, Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia, Chairman of the Supreme Engineering Council.  

The goal of the event was to discuss and accept documents aimed at development of economics, creation of conditions for innovative technologies implementation, organization of state support for development of engineering corps in Russia.  

The Meeting acknowledged necessity for engineering community to be involved in activities related to transition to the innovative way of development, development and implementation of perspective innovative and technological strategy as the main condition of modernization of economics and acceleration of rates of economic growth.  

The next Meeting of engineers will be devoted to Siberia’s industrial potential.
