"Rossiyskaya Gazeta" published an article by Yuri Hohlov, Chairman of the IIS Board of Directors, devoted to the status of the information society development in Russia.  

To what extent would the efforts made at federal and regional levels provide for overcoming of Russia’s significant arrearage in the information society development?  What is the reason for this? What is prepared by the new state program “Information Society”, which replaced the federal target program "E-Russia" completed this year?
