Institute of the Information Society prepared and published “Works of the VI Social and Economic Forum "Information Society" (2-3 July 2009), organized by the Association of Managers, Institute of the Contemporary Development with expert support of the Institute of the Information Society. The event was held under support of the Administration of the President of RF, State Duma Committee on National Policy, Information Technologies and Communications and Administration of Tver Region. 

The publication contains materials of plenary and sectional meetings devoted to discussion of the project of the National Action Plan for implementation of the Strategy of information Society Development in RF.

The current level of information society development in RF, achieved results and barriers on the way to development were presented. The priority midterm trends of the implementation of the Strategy, plans, events, ways of implementation, creation of monitoring system were determined.  

The publication was designed for experts and leaders in the sphere of creation of strategy and policy of information society development and in the sphere of creation and use of ICT in different fields.
