In 2004 Russian Internet is celebrating its first anniversary. Federal Agency of Press and Mass Communications supports organization of different events under a single slogan: First Anniversary of Russian Internet "10 Years of RUnet"

Among experts of RUnet Award there was Yuri Hohlov, Chairman of the Board of Institute of the Information Society.

The culmination of these events was the National Award of the Russian Internet (RUnet Award) ceremony and celebratory show "10 RUyears-show", which took place in Expocentre on 26 November 2004. Dr. Hohlov was one of those who presented the awards to the winners.
