Institute of the Information Society published a digest of international seminar "Russia – European Union: Signs on Roadmap of Cultural Cooperation”, which was conducted by the Ministry of culture of RF together with the European Commission and its Representative Office on the 8TH of December, 2009 in Moscow. IIS acted as operator of the seminar.
This sourcebook articles, speeches and presentations workshop participants from 22 European nations and 20 regions of the Russian Federation.
The materials describe the most successful Russian-European projects undertaken in the cultural sphere, and contain proposals on identifying potential areas of policy and regulations that can be improved to help develop cultural exchange. The proposals also suggest further steps for facilitating the implementation of joint projects and establishing closer cooperation in the sphere of culture.
The sourcebook further includes a Final Document with the workshop’s results and recommendations on ways to encourage cooperation between Russia and the European Union.
The sourcebook is intended for the heads of federal and regional bodies of state administration in the sphere of culture in Russia and the European Union, as well as cultural experts from Russian and the EU nations. It is also intended for international, non-governmental and non-commercial organizations that play a key role in establishing long-term cooperation in the sphere of culture.
