On April 22, 2010 deputies of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan supported a proposal of Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, to approve candidacy of Nikolay Nikiforov for the post of Prime-Minister and Minister of Informatization and Communications of the Republic of Tatarstan.  

Institute of the Information Society congratulates Nikolay Nikiforov upon appointment and wishes him success on a new senior position.
