Strategy for Information Society Development in Russia
A meeting of the Editorial Board of the "Information Society" journal took place

Decision of Presidium of State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles of the Ministry of Education and Science of the RF dated February 19, 2010 ¹ 6/6 approved new edition of the Index of leading refereed scientific journals and publications, which now includes the “Information Society” journal issued by the Institute of the Information Society in cooperation with Russian Academy of Engineering.      

Due to change in the status of the journal IIS hosted a meeting of the Editorial Board on March 11, 2010, where approaches to adjustment of editorial policy were discussed.  

The Editorial Board of the “Information Society” journal is comprised of distinguished scientists and public figures:

The journal is a professional edition on complex range of problems related to the information society development: it contains publications on research of basic contemporary problems, including creation of e-government in Russia, ICT infrastructure development, information security, social consequences of ICT implementation, innovations in the information society, etc.  

“Information Society” journal serves as ground for scientific and expert discussions; highlights along with results of research work home and foreign practices in ICT potential use for social and economic development; interaction of the State, business, civil society and academic community in the information society. The reporting format of the majority of materials is understandable not only to scientists and specialists but also to the general audience interested in problems of the information society.
