The Sixth Issue of the "Information Society" Journal was published
The sixth in 2009 issue of "Information
Society"analytical journal was published. This issue is devoted to modern times
with rapidly changing paradigm, unlimited possibilities and unusual models of
people’s behavior.
The issue starts with a column "Socio-economical aspects of Information Society", where were published an article
by two professors of London School of Economics, Roger Silverstone
(unfortunately, now-deceased) and Leslie Haddon, devoted to dissolution of
edgings between work and home under the conditions of telework expansion, and
besides an article by Professor of the University of Udine Leopoldina
Fortunati, which examines use of mobile communications by Italian teenagers.
In a column "Leaders of Information
Society" one can get acquainted with the final part of jubilee interview with Igor
Bukreev, Vice-president of the Russian Engineering Academy, a significant
person for the branch itself and for our journal in particular.
In the article by Vladimir Drozhzhinov
and Alexander Shtrik"Integrated E-Government
in Russia" published in column "Information Society and Power" a way of transformation
of e-government from "chimera into really functional system" is proposed.
The column "Technologies of Information
Society" presents an article about new approaches to topical retrieval in the network
by Sergej Popov, Director of the Department of Scientific Policy and Science
Development at the Institute of Economics, Politics and Law in the field of Science
and Technology under the Federal Agency for Science and Innovations.
An article by Nikolaj Maksimov,
Professor of the National Research Nuclear University (МIFI), calling
for transition from information service to apportioned system of knowledge management,
is published in the column "Science and Innovations in Information Society".
