Strategy for Information Society Development in Russia
IIS Representatives participated in the "Infocommunication Day of Singapore"

On September 30, 2009 the World Bank for the first time hosted "Infocommunication Day of Singapore". The seminar was opened by senior head leaders of International Enterprise of Singapore who told about the role of ICT in public management and successful experience of private-government partnership in Singapore while establishing e-Government.

Experts – executives responsible for ICT implementation in Singapore’s Government, and chiefs of such leading ICT-Companies of Singapore as IDA International, CrimsonLogic, NCS and novaCITYNETS shared highlights about Singapore’s 30 years of eGovernment journey, the eGovernance required to ensure successful e-migration of the country, as well as  the concept of Public e-Services Infrastructure implementation.

The seminar became a platform for interaction with senior executives of the Singapore Government who work in ICT sphere, and with representatives of business.

The Moscow Office of the World Bank hosted a local session within the framework of international videoseminar "The Singapore Experience – Ingredients for Successful Nation-wide eTransformation" organized by International Enterprise Singapore in collaboration with the World Bank, Institute of the Information Society and  the Institute of Contemporary Development.

Key representatives of the federal and Moscow government authorities who are responsible for ICT development and use within public authorities and who participate in policy development and project implementation in this sphere, public authorities of the RF, as well as representatives of the leading IT companies and  business-community took part in the event.  

The event was also broadcasted via Internet at the World Bank’s web-site in Russian - www.worldbank.org/edevelopment/live.

Representatives of Russian regions participated in the event in the internet-broadcasting mode.
