On October 8, 2009 the office of the Presidential Administration of the RF at hotel complex "President-Hotel" hosted the IV National Congress "Priorities of Economics’ Development. Modernization and Technological Development of Russia".

The goal of the event – to elaborate suggestions on development of key trends in innovative policy, which were determined by the Committee on Modernization and Technological Development of Russian Economics under the President of the RF: energy efficiency and energy-savings; nuclear technologies,  space technologies, medical technologies, strategic information technologies.  

Chairman of the IIS Board of Directors Yuri Hohlov made a report on "Mechanisms of Implementation of the Strategy of Information Society Development in the Russian Federation" during the meeting of an expert group on strategic information and telecommunication technologies within the framework of the Congress.

The State Duma of the RF and the Interdepartmental Working Group on Innovative Legislation under the Administration of the President of the RF acted as co-organizers of the event.
