Strategy for Information Society Development in Russia
IIS representative took part in the first session of the Expert Council on E-Government Architecture under the Agency on Informatization and Communication of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On May 21-22, 2009 the first session of the Expert Council on E-Government Architecture under the Agency on Informatization and Communication of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held in Astana. Together with representatives of Kazakhstan, Singapore, Israel and Estonia, Yuri Hohlov, Chairman of the IIS Board of Directors and member of the Expert Council, took part in the session. He also presented a paper on "Architectural Approach to E-Government Projects in the Russian Federation".

The Expert Council on E-Government Architecture was established on the 8th of April 2009 within implementation of the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Informatization" and in accordance with the E-Government Program of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2008-2010 years.

Coordination of the e-government architecture administration in the Republic of Kazakhstan and its development are among the main goals of the Expert Council. Its functions encompass analysis of the existing architecture, analysis of international experience, development of recommendations on the world best practices’ use, drafting suggestions on Kazakhstan ICT standards development, etc.

Organizational support of the Expert Council on E-Government Architecture operation is provided by the "National Information Technologies" JSC.
