 The second in 2009 issue of the "Information Society" journal has been published. The issue is devoted to standards of e-government.
Materials of the issue touch upon such key problems as architectural approach to organization of e-government, use of open standards for interoperability of the government information systems.
The issue starts with a column "Standards of E-Government", where the first part of translated monograph "Àñhievements in the Architecture of Government Organizations" by doctor Pallab Saha from the National Singapore University and article "Standards of the World Wide Web in Development of E-governments" by Michail Kogalovsky and Yuri Hohlov are published.
The column "Documents, Events, Initiatives" represents the materials from the international videoseminar "Open Standards for Government Transformation: Enabling Transparency, Security and Interoperability".
The column "Science and Innovations in the Information Society" contains two articles: "With Archaic Science to the Information Society" by Evgeni Semenov and "Analysis of Development Trends in Nanosphere Using Research Projects" by Alexander Terekhov.
Besides, a new column "Glossary of Information Society" appeared in the journal, where 20-30 new terms related to the topic of the issue will be added regularly.
