On 7 May, 2009 Moscow office of the World Bank will hold an international videoseminar “Service Delivery & Electronic Identification (eID). How National ID Cards and Other eID Applications can Improve Service Delivery and Governance?”, organized by Institute of the Information Society together with the E-Development Thematic Group of the World Bank.
The event is held within the framework of Government Transformation Initiative – common initiative of the World Bank and a number of private corporations, the main goal is advanced training of senior managerial staff of public authorities in ICT use.
The goal of the seminar – exchange experience in use of ID cards and other identification technologies for increasing efficiency of public management and providing services is such spheres as social and health protection.
Aside from Russia participation in the event of a number of countries of South-Eastern Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the World Bank specialists in Washington, is anticipated. Specific examples of solutions from Belgium, Estonia and Pakistan will be shown.
Videoseminar will consist of two parts: Russian (14:00-15:30) and international (16:00-18:30).
