Strategy for Information Society Development in Russia
IIS leader took part in the meeting of the Board of Directors of National Infocommunication Holding "Zerde"

On April 7, 2009 the House of Ministries in Astana hosted a meeting of the Board of Directors of the National Infocommunication Holding "Zerde", where Yuri Hohlov, Chairman of the IIS Board of Directors, took part as an independent director.

Kazakhstan Government acted as founder of the Holding, which provides innovative infocommunication services for public sector.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of National Infocommunication Holding "Zerde" is Kuanyshbek Yesekeev, the Chairman of the Republic of Kazakhstan Agency on Informatization and Communication. The Board of Directors is comprised of Bakhyt Sultanov, the Minister of Economy and Budget Planning of Kazakhstan; Bolat Zhamishev, the Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan; Dulat Kustavletov, the Vice-Minister of Justice of Kazakhstan; Erlan Durmagambetov, Deputy Chairman; Adilbek Sarsenov, Chairman of JSC "Zerde" Holding; and also three independent directors – Yuri Hohlov, Denis Kogan and Rustem Isenov.

The main objective of the Holding is to provide for widespread implementation of ICTs in all branches of economy in order to increase the labor productivity and optimize administrative and production processes in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Besides a number of working meeting between Yuri Hohlov and representatives of government bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place in Astana, where also had place a fruitful exchange of opinions on goals and objectives of ICT development and use in the Republic of Kazakhstan also had place. The discussion took into consideration national peculiarities and experience of development and realization of such strategies in other countries.
