On March 19, 2009 within the framework of the Microsoft conference "The Day of Noncommercial Organizations" a presentation of the "infoDonor" program will be held, where the launch of the program will be officially announced.

The goal of the "infoDonor" program coordinated by IIS is to provide technological support to Russian nongovernmental and noncommercial organizations (NGO/NCO) in acquiring access to software and hardware donations of leading world producers.

IIS acts as Russian partner of the global program of noncommercial sector support coordinated by noncommercial agency of technical support TechSoup Global (USA). Microsoft Corporation acts as the first donor of the program in Russia. A number of other leading ICT producers also expressed their readiness to donate to NCOs.

At the conference "The Day of Noncommercial Organizations" Microsoft will present the whole complex of initiatives in support of noncommercial sector in Russia, including:

• A joint Microsoft resource portal for noncommercial organizations
• A program of computer literacy advancement
• A program of technological support of NGO/NCO ("infoDonor").

Participants of the conference will have an opportunity to get acquainted with the "United Communications" platform which is in fact a complex solution based on Microsoft products and services. Within the framework of the conference the reports by leading experts of Microsoft Corporation and partners will be presented, and will visually demonstrate advantages of ICT use for more efficient achieving of goals faced by noncommercial organizations.
