One of IGF 2008 working events was a session of the Linguistic Diversity Dynamic Coalition (Coalition dynamique pour la diversité linguistique). The session was chaired by Pietro Sicuro (INTIF / Francophonie).

The session presentations included:

• Terminologie Multilingue - Multilinguistic Terminology by Louis Pouzin (EuroLinc, France)
• Linguistic Diversity in the Cyberspace of the Russian Federation by Tatiana Ershova (Institute for the Information Society, Moscow, Russian Federation) 
• Linguistic Diversity in the Indian Cyberspace by Rajesh Aggarwal, National Internet Exchange of India
• Le Cameroun: retour d'expérience d'une Toile bi-lingue by Michel Tchnonang (CAPDA)

Chairman of IIS Board of Directors Yuri Hohlov made comments and suggestions on the organization of an international cooperation for promotion of multilingualism in the Internet and on the Web through the creation of a multilingual glossaru of basic terms related to the Internet Governance in particular and Information Society in general, as well as the development of simple tools facilitating man-machine interaction to help illiterate and physically impaired people to benefit from the World Wide Web.
