In accordance with the Strategy of the Information Society Development in Russia, which was approved by the President of Russia on 7 February 2008, an annual report on the status of information society development in Russia will be worked out.

Institute of the Information Society will take part in working out the report at request of the Federal Agency of Information Technologies. The leading executor is Project Implementation Group “InformEkspertiza”, IIS being a sub-contractor. The main target of the work is to develop the draft report on the status of information society development in Russia in line with the main trends of the approved Strategy.

While conducting research works, data collection from state, departmental and international statistics and obtaining values of indices of information society development will be accomplished. In accordance with developed methods and toolkit a representative poll on ICT use will be conducted.
