On February 27, 2008 a regular meeting of the IIS Board of Directors took place, where a renewed staff of the Board of Directors was elected. The IIS Superior Authorities include: Alexander Elizarov, Tatiana Ershova, Andrey Mendkovich, Viktor Stroganov, Sergey Shaposhnik, Mikhail Yakushev. Yury Hohlov was elected Chairman of the IIS Board of Directors for the fourth time.

In accordance with the decision of the Board of Directors at present the IIS structure is composed of the following main subdivisions: General Directorate, Directorate of Regional Programs, E-Development Directorate, Directorate of Information Society Development Monitoring, PRIOR Directorate, Directorate of Legal Programs, Directorate of Educational Programs.

The forming of the new staff of the IIS Supervisory Board - the body which accomplishes supervision and control over IIS activities took place between February 28 and March 15, 2008. Members of the IIS Supervisory Board became: Alexander Bogdanov, Igor Bukreev, Dmitriy Chereshkin, Andrey Fonotov, Yury Hohlov, Boris Kristalny, Alexander Raykov, Alexander Rusakov, Lev Shchur, Olga Vershinskaya. Stepan Orlov headed the IIS Supervisory Board.
