On February 21, 2008 the State Duma hosted the 1^st All-Russian conference "Complex Security of Innovation Infocommunication Technologies Use".

The State Duma Committee on Construction and Agriculture, the State Duma Committee on Transport, the Security Assistance Fund, Activeros Information and Analytical Agency, with assistance of President’s Administration, Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of CIS Countries acted as organizers of the conference.

Conference aimed at creating the negotiation area for the state, business and science, which could provide for balancing state and business interests while working out the technical prognosis and determining long-term priorities for scientific and technological development of the country.

Participants of the conference examined the following issues:

• legislative provision of state industrial policy in the area of complex security of innovations and investments, mechanisms of realization of this policy
• examination of mechanisms of creation of the innovation system of complex security in Russian industry within the framework of realization of federal target programs
• legislative and normative provision of complex security in the industry while developing, manufacturing and service use of payment terminals, payment systems and cash machines
• potential of infocommunication services market use for civil society in Russia
• perspectives of the creation of unified system of personnel training for the industry in the area of complex and technological security, science intensive technologies and intellectual property.

Representatives of legislative and executive branches, scientific and public organizations, business community took part in the conference. Yuri Hohlov, Chairman of the IIS Board of Directors, was invited to participate in the conference.
