On February 11, 2008 a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan was held and the only point of the agenda was the issue of realization of the comprehensive e-government project. The session was devoted to presenting and discussing the draft target republican program of ICT development and use in 2008-2010. Institute of the Information Society acted as an executor of the draft program by request of the Center for Information Technologies of the Republic of Tatarstan. The draft program also appeared to be one of results of the realization of the protocol of intentions signed by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Institute of the Information Society on February 21, 2006.

The draft program approved at the meeting of the Cabinet of Tatarstan was developed in accordance with the Standard Program of ICT Development and Use in the Subject of the RF, which was affirmed by the RF Government on July 3, 2007.

As a result of the discussion the draft program was taken as a basis and by March 15, 2008 it will be completed and approved.

Yuri Hohlov, Chairman of the IIS Board of Directors, took part in the meeting of the Cabinet of Tatarstan on February 11, 2008.
