International video seminar "Mobile Government: New Frontier in Providing Governmental Services" will take place in the World Bank Moscow Office on 29 November 2007.

The seminar is organized by the World Bank e-Development Thematic Group in partnership with eGovWorld, Mobile Government Consortium International, Institute of the Information Society, eGov Monitor, Development Gateway.

The first part of the video seminar in Moscow will be devoted to the discussion of the domestic experience in mobile technologies’ use for providing governmental services.

Representatives of the key federal agencies responsible for development and use of ICT within public authorities (Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications of RF, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of RF, Russian Agency for Information Technologies, and other departments) and in authorities of the subjects of RF (Moscow Government, Cabinet of the Republic of Tatarstan, and others), representatives of leading Russian mobile operators, experts will take part in the event.

The second part of the video seminar in Washington will give the opportunity to discuss variety of mobile services, which were developed and implemented all through the world, and to cover the best experience accumulated in this field.
