IIS became the winner of the competition in the R&D on development of e-government services and standards in Tver region.

The goal of the project is to expand the access of the public and organization in Tver region to information and socially important services based on ICT use, and to increase the quality and transparency of government activity in this region.

Guided by the Informatization Concept of Tver Region, which was approved at the meeting of the ICT Council under the Governor of Tver Region on 18 October 2006, it is planned to the following within the framework of this work:

• to provide an overall e-readiness assessment of the region
• to analyze the ICT use in the spheres of education, healthcare, social security and culture
• to discover zones of lags in e-development taking into account the specific conditions of the Tver region
• to prepare a draft target program for ICT development and use in the Tver region.

The R&D work is supposed to result in a proposal on activities on ICT use in key fields of activities in the region in public administration, education, healthcare, housing policy and agriculture.
