Strategy for Information Society Development in Russia
IIS representative took part in the conference "E-Government. International Experience"

The conference took place on June 20, 2007 in Moscow in the context of an international EU project Institutional Reform of the Public Sector.

Specialists and experts in the field of e-government from Europe and America and Russian experts participated in the conference. The project "Institutional Reform of the Public Sector" intends to render assistance to RF Government in raising effectiveness and potency of providing public services to citizens of RF.

Deputy Director of the Department of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation Maxim Parshin, and the project’s expert Eric Somerling welcomed the participants and reviewed Russia’s policies in the sphere of e-government.

Vladimir Matyukhin, Chief of the Federal Agency on Information Technologies, made a report on Providing Public Services Based on Service Oriented Trusted Third Party.

Experts Mary Ogilvy and Larry Mick reported on the practical aspects e-government in Canada. Joseph Hochgerner, specialist from the Center of Social Innovations (Germany), made a report on Providing Public Services with Use of Reductive Methods of E-Government: Opportunities for Russia and Regions.

Yuri Hohlov, Chairman of IIS Board of Directors, took active part in the conference.
