Strategy for Information Society Development in Russia
The representative of the Institute took part in the international videoconference "Re-engineering of Administrative Processes in the context of E-Government Services Introduction"

On May 17, 2007 the international videoconference "Re-engineering of Administrative Processes in the context of E-Government Services Introduction" took place in Moscow.

The role of governance processes re-engineering (GPR) in the sphere of e-government was examined during the conference by the examples of several projects aimed at introduction of e-services where GPR served as the major success factor. Examples of projects were taken over from experiences of Great Britain, Germany and Canada. The main topics for discussion were GPR methodology and practical aspects of GPR realization in the context of ICT projects.

Videoconference was organized for public servants and other interested parties from Moscow and many other Russian cities enjoying the support of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Partnership Program of the European Union and Russia with the assistance of Global Development Learning Network (GDLN) in an effort to get acquainted with international experience in the sphere of e-government.

Yuri Hohlov, Chairman of IIS Board of Directors, participated in the videoconference.
