On 17-19 October 2006 Suzdal held the 8th All-Russian research conference "Digital Libraries: Advanced Methods and Technologies, Digital Collections" (RCDL 2006).
The conference provides the platform for exchanging the accumulated experience, ideas and results, as well as for making contacts and closer cooperation among specialists from universities and research centers, digital libraries developers and users, as well as students and post-graduate students.
The event was organized by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), Institute of Informatics Problems of the RAS, Space Research Institute of the RAS, P.G. Demidov Yaroslavl State University, Interdepartmental Supercomputer Center of the RAS, Moscow Section of ACM SIMOD, Administration of Vladimir Region, Vladimir State University, and the Agency of Research and Business Communications of the RAS.
The conference program is represented at the site of the event.
The conference was participated by IIS General Director Tatiana Ershova and Chairman of IIS Board Yuri Hohlov - co-directors of the project "Development of a Portal aimed at Scientific and Methodological Support of Scientific Digital Libraries’ Creation" implemented with support of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research.
